Well friends, a few weeks ago, I announced on my social media that I wrote a book. “Lettering for Absolute Beginners” will officially be published this December!
When this whole journey with Imperfect Dust began, I never could have imagined the experiences God had in store for me, especially writing a book! While this is all incredibly exciting, it has also been a bit nerve-wracking to be completely honest!
Sharing my lettering art on social media and through my shop has pushed me out of my comfort zone, but writing this book took even more courage. I couldn’t have done it without God’s grace and the amazing support of family, friends, and your positive words on social and in my email inbox! You kept me going!
We are in the editing process now and I can’t wait to see how they help bring the manuscript to life. When I originally felt the call to write this book, I planned to self-publish. However, to my surprise and delight, a traditional publisher showed interest and wanted to take over. This has been such a blessing, and this support will allow me to share my work with an even wider audience.
The 160-page book includes traceable alphabets, clear directions, helpful tips, tear outs of ready-made artwork by me, and pages where you can showcase your handiwork too! If you’ve ever wanted to learn calligraphy or just want to take your handwriting to the next level, this book is made for you. You don’t need any fancy pens or paper. Just a willing hand and heart.
The book will publish in December but is currently available for pre-order on Amazon for $18.99! Simply search “Danielle Stringer” or “Lettering for Absolute Beginners” to find it. Once you place your pre-order, send a screenshot of your receipt to firstname.lastname@example.org, and I’ll give you two free, high-resolution digital downloads that you can print and frame!
Through “Lettering for Absolute Beginners” I hope to encourage you with thoughtful guidance to explore your creativity. I hope that by following the simple prompts, you find the joy and inspiration that working with your hands brings. Most importantly, I hope this little book provides you with a purposeful, but relaxing outlet for learning calligraphy and meditating on the Word.
If you’re new here, I hope you’ll take a look around and discover a quote or verse that resonates with you. If you’ve been along for the ride for a while, thank you for your support and encouragement thus far. I am reminded daily that it’s because of you and God’s faithfulness that I am able to do this work!
