The Faith-Based Business Guide to Minimize Burnout
Posted by Danielle Stringer on
I recently did an Instagram Q & A on my stories, and one of the questions asked how I avoid burnout.
As a faith-based business owner, wife, and mama, balancing all of my responsibilities is a daily challenge, y’all! But with God’s grace and hard work, I’ve figured out a few tips and tricks that make it possible. I wanted to share them with you here as well in a list.
- Create a structured workflow. This is so helpful to provide a framework to keep you grounded and focused when life is throwing y’all a million curve balls!
- Know your why. Knowing your why is so key. My why is my family, my dad, and spreading the Word of God far and wide.
- Set goals and celebrate when you reach them! This is what will get you through those late nights and roadblocks. For example, knowing I would get to go on vacation at the end of the year with my family helped me stay the course when I would get overwhelmed or tired.
I recommend having a visual reminder for your goals and “why.” You could create a sales goal spreadsheet or vision board to keep your eyes on the prize!
These are what have worked for me as I’ve built Imperfect Dust. They might seem simple, but I encourage you to try them out and see what works for you.
There will be hard days. I still get burned out sometimes! However, having a plan, purpose, and goal will help you stay true to your calling from the Lord both in your relationships and/or work.
For I hold you by your right hand— I, the Lord your God. And I say to you, ‘Don’t be afraid. I am here to help you. - Isaiah 41:13
